Sorry We’re Closed

“This is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.”

Isn’t Rontia adorable? We connected because our names are almost exact anagrams of each other – how cool! I love her smile and fun sense of style. She chose this outfit for picture day – pretty chic for an eight year-old!

Polara

I briefly mentioned my internship at Polara here, but I definitely didn’t say enough. There’s no question that I want to spend at least part of the time working in a commercial photography studio, and Polara is an awesome one to be in (Harlem Globetrotters during the Curly Neal years – seriously, this is my kind of place). You name it, they shoot it. The pace there is fast, with easily three completely different shoots going on on any given day. Plus, sometimes Muffy, the Studio Manager, sets out an oatmeal bar for breakfast. Yes, I said oatmeal bar – I mean, how can you beat that?

Right, so that shoot with Emily. Her band is called Gun Room Melodies, so what better place to stage some promo shots than, where else, The Gun Room? And with four musicians loaded with personality and a gun stylist (yes, I did say gun stylist), we were bound to have a good time. Gun Room Melodies is Emily Miller, DJ Woods, Darren Canfield and Nick Russo – be sure to check their fb page for future shows!

This thing that you see,
Why in the world,
Would it excite me?
